My Story

For those who haven't met me (or Noah, my 72kg bullmastiff who lets me use his Facebook when he's having a nap!) on Facebook, I started cake decorating when I did an RSPCA Cupcake Day fundraise in 2011. I made cute little fondant puppies peeking out from raspberry coconut cupcakes. They were a hit. Since then I've made novelty cakes, topsy turvy cakes and illuminated cakes (yes, cakes with lights).
However, what I truly love doing is sculpting, so these days I mainly focus on making figurines and cake toppers. I like making gravity-defying mid-action figurines. I like sculpting faces. My uniqueness is making mini versions of actual people in mid-action, doing what they love best, doing what defines them and telling a story about themselves. My figurines make people go, "OMG! That's SO you!"
I'm a drama queen, that's what defines me, I guess. I tend to look for dramas. I have a wild runaway imagination which mostly, coupled with my Type A Personality, turns me into a worrywart. On the flipside, when I harness this imaginationand and my propensity to look for dramas, I make figurines that make people go, "Wow!" And this is why I love doing what I do! I love being able to bring that little bit of wow-factor to someone's special occasion, be it a birthday party, anniversary or wedding.
